Bushy Aster
(Rice Button Aster) The native Bushy Aster is uncommon in our area, but can be found in sunny open places, including fields, meadows, and thickets. It is a smooth shiny perenniall about 3' tall with leafy branches and many small flower heads. Flowers are white or lavender with a yellow center usually 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch wide. Main stem leaves can be up to three inches long but side branch leaves are much smaller.
