False Boneset
Brickellia eupatorioides (Kuhnia eupatorioides)   [C-value 4]
Aster family (Asteraceae)
Blooms mid-August - mid-September

The native False Boneset is uncommon in our area. It prefers full sun and tolerates drought better than most prairie plants. It is a perennial 1-3½' tall and unbranched, except near the apex where the flowering stems occur. The stems are round and covered with fine white hairs. The alternate leaves are up to 4" long and 1½" across. The upper stems terminate in small corymb of flowers, each with 7-21 small creamy white tubular florets.
